Sales Executive

Merrill is currently seeking multiple Sales Executives for our Legal & Financial Transactional Services division in our Chicago location. You will sell the full suite of service offerings, including court reporting and electronic discovery. This is an exciting opportunity for a successful consultative sales professional with proven track record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a business-to-business outside sales role. The Sales Executive will call on small to large sized law firms and corporate legal departments, to drive new business from prospective clients, and service existing clients. This sales professional is responsible for prospecting, outside sales calls, professional presentations, account management, maintaining high standards of customer focus and customer service, and general follow-up interaction. This position offers professional development, and career advancement opportunities. An existing book of business with local Chicago law firms and corporate legal departments is a plus!
REQUIREMENTS:

* 3+ years outside sales experience
* Successful sales track record.
* Strong prospecting and closing abilities.
* Experienced in cold calling and not easily distracted by rejection.
* Must be tech savvy - focus on using technology to make users’ lives simpler.
* Must be a motivated self-starter, who can work independently.
* Possess a strong desire to succeed.
* Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical abilities.
* Excellent listening and follow-through skills.
* Experience with CRM’s
* Willingness to learn on the job and a desire to constantly improve.
* Strong work ethic.
* Professional appearance and maturity.
* Legal industry background, experience, and knowledge a plus.
