The United City of Yorkville is accepting applications for seasonal workers in their Parks Department.

Under the direction of the Parks Foreman and full time Parks personnel, the successful applicant will perform daily and weekly tasks in the areas of park and playground maintenance, turf care, athletic field maintenance and seasonal park beautification.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and possess a valid Driver's license, basic knowledge of park and turf maintenance, horticulture, plant and tree identification, ball field maintenance and general repairs. Occasional cross-departmental support in the area of Public Works may be required.

This position is expected to work outdoors, assist in the operation of park maintenance equipment and machinery and perform physical and/or strenuous work up to 40 hours per week. Must speak fluent English and successfully complete a background check. Weekend and evening hours maybe required.
