Meridian Group, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Service Coordinator at Countryside Village located in Rochelle, IL. The property consists of 74 Section 8 apartments designated for persons 62 years of age or older or with disabilities. The successful candidate must have a degree in social work or related health care field. Experience with and knowledge of the aging process, elder services, disability services, Federal and State entitlement programs, legal liability issues relating to providing service coordination, drug and alcohol use and abuse, and mental health issues is a must. In addition, the applicant must be able to show proof of a minimum of 36 hours classroom/seminar training in each of the above areas as well as training in strategies for communicating effectively in difficult situations and dealing with cognitive impairments.
