Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, Corporate, Community and Continuing Education the Construction Business Specialist (CBS) will assist with implementation of the Construction Business Development Center (CBDC) at Moraine Valley Community College under the Illinois Toll way Grant. The CBS will be responsible for the initial intake process, assist in the Individual Technical Assistance Plan for each specific business, provide initial and on-going counseling to program participants, setting up appropriate training services and following up to ensure successful outcomes. The CBS will assist with recruitment and outreach and prepare the specific college information for inclusion in the monthly narrative report.

The Construction Business Specialist must be able to interact professionally with program participants, college staff/administration, and outside agencies. Aptitude for developing business relationships for the purpose of providing assistance; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; contracting experience in the construction field, and/or the proven ability to understand construction bid contracts; must be able to communicate with large groups.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred or related area; and minimum two (2) years' experience in a business setting with supervisory, finance, and/or marketing experience required. Salary: $41,525; Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am to 5:15 pm.
