CITY OF OTTAWA

The City of Ottawa Civil Service Commission is accepting applications to establish eligibility registers for the classifications listed below. These registers are valid for two years from posting date.

These are full-time positions. Residency within five (5) miles of the corporate limits must be established and maintained within fifteen (15) months of employment.

Classification:  Vehicle Maintenance     

Test Date:  November 1, 2018     

Applications must be returned to City Hall by:   October 25, 2018

Knowledge of ASE certification data is recommended, but not required for this examination. Future employment is subject to satisfactorily passing a background check, a physical agility test and a medical examination which includes a test to screen for the use of drugs and/or narcotics.

Classification: Water/Wastewater

Test Date: November 7, 2018

Applications must be returned to City Hall by: October 31, 2018

Knowledge of water/wastewater operations is recommended, but not required for this examination. Future employment is subject to satisfactorily passing a background check, a physical agility test and a medical examination which includes a test to screen for the use of drugs and/or narcotics.
