Public Works B Man Operator

City of Markham

 

The City of Markham Civil Service Commission invites submission of applications for employment as a Public Works B Man Operator. Written exams will be given on August 29, 2014 at 1:00pm. Test will be given at Markham City Hall in the Old Council Chambers (near the police department) located at 16313 Kedzie Pkwy., Markham, IL 60428.

 

General Requirements: Proof of identification and a high school diploma. All applicants must pass the written Civil Service Examination and submit to an oral interview.

 

B Man Operator Requirements: Valid CDL Truck Drivers License; willingness to respond to emergency situations 24 hours a day; familiarity with water, sewer and street maintenance and ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment preferred.

 

Applications may be secured from the City Clerk's office Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. All application must be submitted before August 29, 2014.

 

Honorably discharged military veterans bring DD214 copy to test. Honorably discharged, service connected vets bring DD214 and VA card or award letter copy to test.

 

All successful interviewees will be subjected to mandatory drug testing.
