Purchasing Coordinator

Kishwaukee College, Malta, IL

The Purchasing Coordinator will work with college staff and vendors to determine best pricing for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment and services used by Kishwaukee College. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing operations, including establishing purchasing procedures, specifications for contract work, supplies and equipment, coordinating and overseeing the bidding process, and working with vendors and campus staff in the purchasing process. Demonstrate an understanding and familiarity with Illinois and Federal laws / regulations regarding the bidding process and other purchasing requirements of governmental agencies. Ability to work in a fast paced office environment; Effective leader; able to educate colleagues and other leaders on processes, risks and protocols for effective and efficient purchasing programs. Bachelor's degree in related business field required; 3-5 years related work experience required; Experience in procurement operations in a college or university environment preferred.
