Store Manager or Assistant Specialty Sales Retail

Oreck specialty retail store is looking for a Store Manager. A customer focused individual to help solve our customer's cleaning needs and challenges. We are looking for someone to run the store as if it was their own. Come up with new ways to market the store and bring in new business.

As a store director, you will be in charge of all aspects of running the store: Sales, advertising, repairs, and customer service. Along with this, you will educate the customer about creating a cleaner, healthier, and smarter home environment. Our associates are thoroughly trained on all products and repair services.

Successful candidates possess a sales focused, consumer-centric management background, as well as knowledge, skills and abilities that include:

Motivate and inspire team members for high sales performance and friendly responsive consumer service

Assist in recruiting team members and building store talent

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED
-At least one year prior store management or assistant store management experience in consumer product, specialty retail, or large retail mass merchant
-Operations experience with P&L responsibility required
-Knowledge of retail point of sale systems including inventory management
-Positive attitude with a teachable spirit and a drive to learn and strive for self improvement
-Pride in work
-Clean cut and well groomed
-Ability to lift 40 lbs occasionally
-Have reliable transportation
-This job requires some work on weekends
-Self starting and able to work with minimum supervision
-Punctual, must be able to arrive on time for business
-The ability to multitask in a in a retail store environment. Tasks include but not limited to customer service, inventory control, purchasing, accounts payable, store appearance, approach and greeting customers, discovering the customers needs, product presentation/demonstration/knowledge and being able to supervise other employees.

Retail, mechanical and technical experience, including the ability to read part schematics, wiring diagrams, the ability to use a VOM Meter and soldering gun is a big plus though we are willing to train.
