Export Traffic Coordinator

Job Description

Hoogwegt U.S., Inc. has an opening for Export Traffic Coordinator in Lake Forest, Illinois. Responsible for overseeing the timely, secure and cost effective execution of various dairy commodities transactions from point of origin, for both U.S. and off-shore transactions, to warehousing to global delivery of product. Negotiates and administers service arrangements, freight rates, contract terms and documentation for the movement and distribution of goods internationally. Manages streamlining and monitoring internal processes to properly account for and execute transactions. Directly involved with and manages complex business transactions. Coordinates communication systems with key departments for continuous flow of the supply chain. Analyzes export transportation industry conditions, trends and carriers to identify and anticipate problems and opportunities. Utilizes experience with managing logistics of moving dairy products to foreign countries; handling payment types for foreign shipments, including letter of credit and cash against documents; managing entire supply chain process; and providing customer service. 40 hours/week. 

Job Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics, International Business, Transportation/Logistics, or related field and 5 years of experience in logistics, OR a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics, International Business, Transportation/Logistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in logistics.

Must have 2 years of experience with the following: managing logistics of moving dairy products to foreign countries; handling payment types for foreign shipments, including letter of credit and cash against documents; managing entire supply chain process; and providing customer service.
