Pharmacist I - Pharmacy Services General 002 - Full-Time, Day - AMITA Cancer Center - Hinsdale, IL

Shift: M-F 7a - 5p. Potential for Saturday hours in the future.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Assures the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
You will:
  • Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems. Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate.
  • Compounds and dispenses medications for accurate delivery to patients.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In good standing.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Level Degree, Bachelor's degree from an AACP accredited college required (Pharmacy degree)
  • PharmD preferred

Work Experience:
  • One or more years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • IV pharmacy experience necessary
  • 2 years oncology experience preferred.
