General Utility Worker I

The Village of Burr Ridge Public Works Department is accepting applications for full-time General Utility Worker I.
Work includes maintaining public buildings, utility systems, and roadways, plowing and shoveling snow, landscaping, operating power tools and construction equipment, maintaining vehicles and small engines & general work in the Department. Applicants should have experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, automotive or diesel mechanics, along with an Illinois Class D or CDL B license. This position includes occasional response to situations and work on evening and weekends, in all weather conditions.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening and background check. Starting hourly wage is $20.96, plus a generous benefit package.
