The Village of Burr Ridge Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the full-time General Utility Worker I position.

Under direction of the Operations Supervisor, responsibilities include wintertime snow and ice control, maintaining public property and utilities, automotive, diesel, and small engine maintenance, landscaping, operating power tools and equipment, and general assistance in the Department. Applicant must possess an Illinois driver's license with safe driving record and high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in construction, mechanics, plumbing, or electrical, or possessing a CDL B is a plus. Applicants must be willing to work occasionally on evenings or weekends, and in all weather conditions.

The starting hourly wage is $17.94 per hour, plus a generous benefit package. Candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening and background check, and provide a driving abstract.
