Administrative Finance Coordinator

The Catholic Cemetery Conference is seeking a full-time administrative finance coordinator for a small, friendly office in Hillside, IL. Employee is responsible for a variety of bookkeeping, customer service and administrative duties for a national nonprofit Roman Catholic faith network committed to cemetery advocacy and education.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as “full charge” bookkeeper, including: maintaining accounts receivable/accounts payable records; reconciling of bank statements; tracking, collecting and allocating payments received; preparing bank deposits; processing adjustments; and carrying out billing, collection and reporting activities.

2  Track and maintain inventory of conference publications and supplies. Fulfill publication orders.

3  Enter and update member records in membership database.

4  Process educational venue registrations, record payments, and produce registration and revenue reports.

5. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external audiences, including assisting CCC members, answering questions and fulfilling requests, and supporting fellow team members.

6. Travel and provide onsite staff support at the annual conference or other educational venues as needed.

7. Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

Minimum of three years’ experience in maintaining financial records. Knowledge of office administration and procedures, and general bookkeeping. Proficient in relevant computer applications, including QuickBooks, Excel and Word. College degree in accounting/finance preferred. Employee must be bondable and computer literate, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess initiative, reliability and thoroughness. Well-organized, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines. Employee must understand the teachings of the Catholic Church. Reports to the Executive Director, operating with a minimum of direct supervision.
