What You Will Do

Job Summary:

Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist in the retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

Assists pharmacists in filling and processing prescriptions.

Serves as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.

Adjudicates third party prescription claims including, but not limited to, initiation and follow up of prior authorizations.

Performs inventory, ordering and receiving pharmacy stock, cash handling and record keeping tasks related to pharmacy operations.

Qualifications


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
  • HS or Equivalent
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
