SUMMARY
The Community Supervisor encourages and assists clients in the care of ongoing development of independent living skills within the setting of the local community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provides ongoing training and supervision in all skill areas i.e.: self-care, housekeeping, kitchen, money management, hair care, and social skills. Assist clients in providing for personal health care needs.
  2. Assists clients in organizing and planning work, leisure time and personal needs. Encourages and supervises client participation in outside activities. Maintains detailed monthly budgets and records of payments and expenses incurred by the clients. Completes monthly billing of program hours to Human Services.
  3. Provides transportation to clients to the grocery store, Dr. appointments, and other medical services. Assists clients in development of good grocery shopping and meal planning habits.
  4. Meets with SLA living groups to resolve ongoing conflicts; facilitates group meetings, and provides positive experience. Assists clients in developing interpersonal relationships with neighbors, employers, friends, and other staff members.
  5. Assists clients in maintaining fire, disaster, and safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to relate positively with clients, families, co-workers, and the public.
Familiarity with industry regulations
Ability to be flexible with work schedule

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field; Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), in good standing
Two years' experience working with developmentally disabled adults
Certified in CPR and First Aid

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) certification
Valid driver's license with ability to obtain JO-5 restricition, if necessary
