Thermoforming Plastics Manufacturing Company in western suburbs of Chicago seeking packers. Shifts are 8 hours, 6AM – 2PM,  2PM – 10PM, 10PM – 6AM. 40 hrs work week.  Detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team environment, multi-tasked job. Must be able to drive Company’s core principles of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Union environment. Starting wage: $13.00 hr, after 90 days, hourly rate goes to 14.36 hr. (plus shift differential), with potential for growth. Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production:

• Responsible for picking, inspecting, packing, bagging quality parts into boxes on very fast paced, assigned production line. Also responsible for assembling boxes, placing correct labels on boxes, assuring that each box is properly labeled and sealed. 
• Meets or exceeds minimum standards for quality packaged finished product.

 Safety & Cleanliness:

• Maintains a clean and safe work area, and reports unsafe conditions.
• Maintains good housekeeping and makes sure the packing area is kept clean, at all times.
• Adheres to safety policy.
• Must wear all safety gear, including hairnet/beard net at all times.

 Physical Demands:

• Standing – 100% of the day
• Lifting, carrying – no more than 40 lbs.
• Reaching (taking parts off of machine), bending, moving boxes, pallets all day

 Environment:

• Noisy
• Temperature (extremely hot from May – October)
