SUMMARY

This position functions as a staff level technician for the majority of the work day. Assist with development and communication of CPACS downtime procedures and policies. Works closely with Presence Health's Information Services Network, Server Infrastructure and Biomedical group, and McKesson and GE services to maintain essential network componnents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Records and circulates in department procedures.

Remove groin arterial/venous sheaths/balloon pumps and maintain hemostasis per protocol.

Escorts/transports patient up to their room after procedure or transport patients for procedure from their room as needed.

Maintains department supplies and equipment, supporting cost containment measures.

Performs accurate computer data entry in the Cath Lab McKesson, GE and Saint Jude EP data entry system.

Checks that all cases are archived properly, that there is adequate free computer space, that no patient information is duplicated and that the image quality is maintained. Arrange for correction of any deficiencies in the image storage and retrieval systems, physiologic recorders and EP systems.

Works closely with all areas of Information Services to ensure complete, efficient and integrated systems. Adheres to all standards, policies, protocols, processes and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of Cath lab experience including complex procedures, computer data entry skills, knowledge of medical terminology.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ACLS Certification preferred. RCIS Certification preferred. BLS certification required
