Senior Banking Project Coordinator-SharePoint

This (exempt) position is responsible for serving all business areas of First American Bank through implementation of new or updated business processes and systems, specifically Microsoft Sharepoint so that they may streamline their processes and distribute information in the most efficient manner. In addition, this position is responsible for working with the Sharepoint Project Sponsor and stakeholders to create projects according to the strategic plan.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and oversee an evaluation method that ensures internal business processes are streamlined and efficient.

Manage Sharepoint project development from initiation to closure by working with Project Sponsor and stakeholders to create the project scope, goals, and deliverables to complete the project.

Recommend and provide expert advice on components required to evaluate systems.

Work with a team to create or streamline processes where appropriate.

Independently analyze and define project tasks and resource requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external departments by scheduling space, hardware, and personnel when required.

Document and distribute appropriate materials to departments affected by any process/system changes. Use discretion and independent judgment to present findings and status reports to management

Document and make high level decisions regarding project scope definitions, requirements, project plans, agendas, and meeting minutes. Schedule and lead meetings accordingly.
Conduct group presentations and meetings exercising skills in meeting facilitation at all levels.

In any project assigned, this individual is typically, but not exclusively responsible for providing the leadership needed to direct the activity of a team assigned to the specific effort.

By either individual effort or working as part of a group, apply practical and objective analysis and problem solving techniques in order to maximize operational efficiency and ensure flexibility in those processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience required.

Minimum 2 years of work experience with MS Project and Visio.

Must have an above average understanding of Microsoft Sharepoint, various computer applications, including but not limited to: databases, word processing, on-line account systems, and spreadsheets.

A solid understanding of products and systems within the financial service industry as well as the technical systems needed to promote business process efficiency is required.

Proven 2 or more years of experience in project management/coordination. Banking industry experience a plus.

Experience working with both internal and external IT resources such as an internal department as well as an external software package supplier or a Value-added Reseller (VAR). IT knowledge preferred, but not required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and a proactive customer service approach with internal customers and co-workers.

Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.

Demonstrate conflict resolution, leadership, and coordination capabilities, as well as the ability to negotiate and attain business agreements.

Travel Required (if applicable):
May require some travel to various First American Bank locations.

Scheduling/Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM and occasional Saturdays
