This position is located in Elk Grove Village, IL.     Responsibilities: Safely and properly use basic hand tools and portable electric powered tools. Safely operate maintenance shop powered equipment (pedestal grinder, drill press, pipe threader, band saw, hydraulic press, etc.) Braze, solder, arc weld and oxyacetylene torch cut metals properly and safely. Safely operate various types of material handling and man-lift equipment. Safely repair electrical lighting fixtures.(interior and exterior facility lighting with operating voltages 120, 220 and 277 volts) Use electrical power measuring instruments (voltage, current, resistance measurements) Read and interpret machine drawings, and blueprints (mechanical and structural) Read and understand maintenance instructions as prescribed in the machine manufacturer maintenance manuals Understand the operation of pneumatic, electrical and mechanical equipment. Exhibit the ability to safely repair and PM various production machines and material handling equipment Safe and proper use of machine shop equipment for the fabrication of replacement machine parts (maintenance welding, lathes, vertical and horizontal mill, shaper, surface grinder) Use precision measurement equipment (dial indicators, levels, micrometers, calipers, etc.) Exhibit the ability to properly troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment     Qualifications: High School Graduate or any equivalent combination of training or experience Two (2) years experience in building and plant maintenance work with a focus on building, electrical or mechanical and building trades Must be familiar reading blue prints mechanical and architectural drawings. Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics schematics instruments Accurately reads various measuring instruments including dial indicators, levels, micrometers, calipers, steel rule, tape rule etc. Familiar with the safe use of maintenance shop tools and power equipment (pedestal grinder, drill press, pipe threader, band saw, hydraulic press) Demonstrates an ability to braze, solder, arc-weld and use oxyacetylene torch to cut metals Has knowledge in the use of material handling and man-lift equipment. Knows the methods, materials tools and practices used in building, electrical, and mechanical trades Understands and troubleshoots HVAC equipment systems.
