DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center is currently accepting resumes for a skilled, enthusiastic, and passionate Director of Activities / Community Life Director to join our team.

This professional individual will oversee the activities department of our community. The qualified candidate is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan as well as State and Federal regulations. As a key leadership role for the community, this position requires a self-motivated and hands-on individual. An Illinois (or National) Certification for Therapeutic Recreation and 36 hour Activity Director Certification, with at least two years of activities / recreational experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, is preferred.
