Animal Medical Center of Crystal Lake seeks to hire a part-time or full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant for a growing, progressive animal hospital.

Prior veterinary experience: such as drawing blood, positioning animal for pet s-rays, animal handling for pets ranging from small mammals, pocket pets to cats and dogs of a broad variety of breeds- is required. Professional management of multi-client/multi pet waiting room scenarios while smoothly handling customer calls during busy animal treatment periods, is another essential requirement. A strong candidate must:

1. Enjoy establishing and sustaining progressive, professional, pleasant interactions with customers and staff alike;
2. Enjoy creating and nurturing positive, cordial business relationships with a broad spectrum of people/personalities;
3. Possess an energetic, outgoing, high-initiative personality with an innate commitment to being punctual and well organized;
4. Have specific experience with veterinary medicine customer care issues;
5. Be computer-proficient with Microsoft Excel, electronic records management and animal hospital practice management software.

A college degree is a plus for the candidate who is best prepared to join an already extraordinary veterinary services delivery staff.
