Sales Representative - Residence Hall

RESPONSIBILITYS OF THE POSITION: The Residence Hall Sales Representative, is a vibrant and self-motivated individual that covers a specific defined geographical area within the continental United States. Reporting directly to the Sales Director and Vice President of Sales, the ideal candidate must maximize sales potential within the territory by nurturing a large existing customer base while continuously identifying and growing new and potential customers.   The candidate is responsible for developing a targeted and loyal clientele by providing them with support and advice about the products offered by the company.  The candidate uses the company’s expertise and resources as a tool to maintain existing customers as well as recruit new business by working closely with supervisors and various other key personnel.   Plans sales activities and strategies in accordance with the stated goals of the sales cycle; Evaluates and defines existing and future client potential Prepares for and prioritizes client visits accordingly; Shows an in-depth understanding of client’s needs and the product lines offered by the company; Possess the ability to constantly perfect and adjust the sales presentation accordingly to fit their audience; Contributes to developing business strategies that will enhance the company’s position; Implements the business development, canvassing, representation, and follow-up action plans to ensure market growth; Meets with clients, analyzes their needs and the feasibility of projects, and suggests solutions that will benefit the company Closely follows up on client files and ensures a high degree of client satisfaction; Attends all appropriate tradeshows and business events considered important by clients and takes beneficial follow up actions; Develops and maintains solid and sustainable customer relationships; Prepares requisitions, coordinates client requests with the project manager, and serves as the liaison between the client and the company; Communicates all pertinent information concerning improvements and development.   PROFILE OF THE PERSON SOUGHT: Very mobile (70% +); Four-year College or University degree; 3 to 5 years of sales experience or equivalent; Excellent communication skills; Experience working on or with Colleges and Universities; Responsible, mature, and independent; Competitive, highly results-oriented; Ability to prioritize, highly organized; Sense of professional ethics and professional attire; Personable, easily establishes relationships with clients; Very high negotiating skills; Tolerance for stress, eager, dynamic, versatile, team player, and positive attitude.
