Overview

The Network Engineer must have experience delivering billable wireless assessments as well as configuring and implementing network and wireless gear from major manufacturers such as Cisco and Aruba.

Responsibilities

• Perform client assessment and installation of wireless and LAN/WAN hardware and software using the latest technology, including networks, routers, wireless solutions.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs
• Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving services' efficiency and effectiveness, keep abreast of technical aspects of the PC-LAN/WAN computing environment, and develop a working knowledge of client-specific applications
• Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade telecommunications infrastructures
• Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements
• Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work
• Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer's satisfaction and approval
• Educates the customer on solution as appropriate throughout the life of the project or service life

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in network engineering and billable delivery, with some experience designing, planning and implementing LANs and WANs using the latest technology
• Experience with Cisco based wireless site survey, network design, and implementation
• Experience peforming wireless assessments with Ekahau, Air Magnet or other solutions
• Bachelor degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience configuring and installing Cisco network switch, routers and wireless equipment.
• Experience with network protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients
• CCDP, CCNP or CCIE certification preferred
• Experience with Aruba, Meraki and other wireless solutions desired.
• Experience with Cisco Prime highly desired.
• Experience with Cisco security products such as ASA, Firepower desired.
