Sr Analyst - Supply Chain Pricing Management

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The role supports strategic business initiatives such as Trade In Program, Device Recycle, and EDGE, and financial objectives such as Edge EBITDA attainment and growth. The Sr. Analyst will build financial models and utilize market analysis to drive a strategic approach to the business and implement metrics which are aligned to the business plan. The Sr. Analyst will have ownership of and accountability for the databases which drive analytics for the Device Recycle program. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with Finance, Marketing, Reverse Logistics, and Area/Region Leadership and external providers of logistics services (3PLs).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Design, implement and manage the pricing database for the Device Recycle program. This database will be used to implement strategies across the company related to 3G to 4G shifts, basic to smart phone upgrades, and driving competitor customers to switch to VZW. The database will ensure that VZW remains competitive in the marketplace and the proper use of the program to drive the right behavior on the part of store reps and customers.
  • Create, adapt and maintain decision flow for each device category or SKU to ensure each item maximizes EBITDA. Drive decisions regarding the proper and appropriate manner in which Trade In and Edge devices will be monetized, and assure execution of those decisions.
  • Analyze market value of devices and assign value to each device in the market to ensure successful Edge and Device Recycle volume/price to maximize ROI. Ongoing analysis of pricing in the market, market trends, new device launches, device technology changes, and device quality are all critical to successful performance.
  • Data analysis and report creation to measure results of the program, compliance of the 3PL in meeting cost targets and volumes, tracking of inventory movement and value, and compliance of all channels.

Area and Senior Leadership Socialization
  • Partner with Area and Region leadership to understand challenges and opportunities and adjust program strategy and execution as appropriate.


Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain is required
  • 5-7 years experience in a position managing supply chain, or finance is preferred
  • Telecommunications / Consumer goods / Technology business acumen is desired
  • Experience with trade-in programs and device and accessory repurposing
  • Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills required
  • Strong analytical skills around business financials required
  • Proficient Microsoft PowerPoint skills; Should be considered an expert in using Excel and Access
  • Proven success working in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment across functional teams and geographies
  • Aggressive self-starter, able to independently organize, prioritize, and execute multiple complex assignments and projects and deliver high-quality results
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and drive tactical execution.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills to be able to interact with internal and external audiences at all levels
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent work relationships at all appropriate levels within and outside the company
  • Strong track record of identifying and delivering creative opportunities to achieve business organization goals
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, able to engage and influence team and external partners
  • Proven Project Management Experience

The position may be based anywhere in the U.S. and will report to the Manager, Catalog and Pricing Management.
