United Airlines has an opening for a Senior Manager – Performance and Financial Analysis in Chicago, IL. Responsible for financial strategy, including developing Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) as a financial metric to assess company’s performance, including determining how airline should calculate ROIC based on research on how other carriers calculate the metric. Creates 25-year financial model for airline that enables the company to develop a long-term financial plan based on changing various assumptions such as profitability and capital expenditures (capex).  Must have a Master’s degree in Business Administration and three years of experience in financial analysis in the airline industry. MBA must have included courses in Finance and either Corporate Strategy or Aviation. Also must have experience with: income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet modeling; aviation industry analysis including forecasting financial performance; performing financial valuation, including enterprise and equity valuation; leading project team of financial analysts; and developing presentations for use in Board of Director or internal C-level meetings and building presentations for external investors.
