United Airlines has multiple openings for Senior Developers - IT to work in Chicago and Elk Grove Village, IL.  Responsible for planning, designing, developing and launching efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. Develops Messaging and Eventing applications. Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues or opportunities in order to maximize the benefit of IT and business investments. Up to 5% travel, to United Airlines in Houston for meetings, 4-12 trips per year. Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in application design and development, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in application design and development. Also must have experience with: analysis, design, development, unit testing, and release of new applications; developing Middleware; Event-Driven architecture; Java/J2EE, Webservices/WSDL, SOAP, JMS, SQL, HTML, and XML; and TIBCO BW, BE, and EMS tools.
