Senior Data Loss Prevention Engineer

Job Description:
As a full-time member of the Verizon Enterprise Services security team, the Senior Data Protection Analyst will identify, assess, and recommend appropriate data protection strategies and solutions as well as install, configure, and/or support complex data protection solutions. The Principal DLP analyst is an individual contributor role and is viewed as a SME.
You will deliver data protection consulting project activities ranging from client identification through project close-out through medium- to long-term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment. Additional responsibilities may include support of existing customer infrastructure.
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of identification and documentation of business use cases related to data protection are a must.
Performance is evaluated based on billable hours and contractual deliverables. You will help identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organizations. You will be viewed by customers as a security consultant and trusted security advisor. Performance is measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours and achieving management set objectives. You will have the opportunity to work on problems of moderate to complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Qualifications
- This position requires 2-4+ years of experience in the day to day activities and operations of one or more of the following solutions:
- Imperva SecureSphere
- A data loss prevention solution such as CA, Symantec, McAfee, RSA, or other
- Microsoft Rights Management
- A data classification tool such as Titus, Bolden-James or Secure Islands
- A working knowledge of data governance, big data, and data analytics.
- Strong verbal, analytical, and written communication skills required - a professional business writing sample will be required
- Must be able to travel for several weeks at a time with weekends home, travel typically stays below 50%
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership and customer facing skills, be able to support presale activities. Understand project management principles and be able to facilitate project management activities.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
- Must be able to document procedures that conform to a prescribed style and format
- Be confident and comfortable with formal presentations to clients, executives, management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Additional Experience:
- Knowledge of mobile security and identity and access techniques is preferred
- Previous consulting experience within a Professional Services organization
- Industry certification(s) such as CCIE, CCNA, CISSP, CCSE, MCSE desirable
- Understanding of encryption and key management strategies
- Experience in Finance, Health Care, or Retail verticals
