Seal-Tight Protective Services, Inc., is accepting applications for  Security Officers.  We are accepting applications for experienced security guards for permanent full-time and part-time positions, as well as temporary assignments and Holiday coverage.

Applications are being taken for the following positions:

1) Temporary work patrolling and traffic control for parking garages in the downtown Chicago area. This requires security to work in an non-heated environment and ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. All (3) shifts will be available (7) days per week.

2) Temporary work Patrolling new construction sites in the downtown area and the northwest suburbs. This requires security to work in an non-heated environment and the ability to walk up multiple flights of stairs and a considerable amount of continual foot patrols. This is an overnight position requiring work on the             weekends as well as week days.

3) Temporary Holiday coverage for downtown hotels. This requires customer service friendly security officers who have had prior experience working in a hotel environment.

4) Permanent F/T and P/T security for both downtown and suburban hotels. These are overnight positions requiring previous experience in hotel security.   

As a Security Officer, generally you will perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.

Additional responsibilities:

• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles, trespassing
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

The Ideal Candidate must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• State-required training or other qualifications for licensing, 20 Hours training certificate
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license or State ID
• You must be at least 21 years old  
• Valid PERC card
• You must have access to reliable transportation
• Must possess a minimum of one year verifiable and successful security experience
