Purchasing and Sales Associate

Tradewater is an environmental project development firm headquartered in Chicago. We are working to identify, collect and destroy the equivalent of over 3,000,000 tons of carbon pollution annually from phased-out refrigerants and methane. A major emphasis of our work is purchasing chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants (CFCs) and providing a range of refrigerant management services aimed at preventing the release of CFCs to the atmosphere.

Tradewater seeks to hire a responsible and highly motivated Associate to join an acquisition and sales team. The Associate will be responsible for managing a diverse set of industry relationships, generating new leads, and identifying opportunities to acquire CFC refrigerants and successfully closing deals to meet the performance objectives of the company. This position requires a “hunter” that is driven to find new leads, identify new markets, and meet aggressive goals.

Primary Responsibilities

* Develop and manage a pipeline of refrigerant acquisition opportunities

* Successfully close deals to acquire refrigerant in volumes necessary to meet company objectives

* Negotiate purchase price of refrigerant that meets company targets

* Deliver excellent customer services and manage all aspects of a transaction

* Develop an expertise in the HVAC and refrigerant industry

* Build and develop relationships with refrigerant management sectors (e.g., reclaimers, chiller owners, mechanical contractors, HVAC companies, riggers and demolition firms)

* Perform regular research and outreach to locate potential customers, suppliers and projects

* Identify sales opportunities for Tradewater Refrigerant Solutions

* Effectively utilize Tradewater’s CRM system

* Help develop relationship management processes using our CRM system

* Explore innovative marketing opportunities to increase customer reach

* Manage refrigerant recovery and collection projects, as needed

Qualifications

* Ability to succeed in competitive bidding environment

* General understanding of the best practices of lead generation, pipeline development, and relationship management

* Demonstrated experience with customer service

* Proven track record in achieving sales quotas and/or acquisition targets

* Strong communication and relationship development skills; especially on the phone

* Entrepreneurial spirit and tenacity, not willing to take no for an answer

* Comfort in meeting challenges with enthusiasm

* Ease in contributing to collaborative projects and working with a team

* Strong references and track record of reliability

* Attention to detail and ability to thoroughly complete tasks

* Knowledge of the Construction and/or Mechanical Contracting and HVAC world is a plus

* Fluency in Spanish is a plus
