United Airlines has an opening for a Propulsion Engineer in Chicago, IL.  Reviews and develops propulsion and engine systems engineering documents. Reviews removed engine components for serviceability and cost effective reparability. 30% travel to United maintenance facilities. Approximately 1 to 5 days per trip. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in aviation engineering. Also must have experience with: maintaining compliance with FARs including Parts 25, 26, 33, 43, 145, and 121; using software tools to analyze test and performance data; using software tools for reporting, presenting, and project management; analytical review of financial benefits and solutions for optimized maintenance of aircraft and components; providing corporate technical responses for regulatory directives; performing advanced statistical analysis; and applying principles of aerodynamics and thermodynamics.
