Production Batch Maker
PPG Industries Inc. has full-time openings for Production Batch Maker positions at its Chicago, IL coatings manufacturing facility. PPG Industries is a $15 billion world-wide leader in the production of coatings, glass and specialty chemicals. We offer competitive wages and excellent benefits including health care, dental, and 401k plan. Must be able to work any shift: 1st (6:30am-3pm); 2nd (2:30pm-11pm); or 3rd (10:30pm-7am).
The positions entail:
- assembles and transfers materials from staging area to processing area and returns unused materials to storage
- cleans and prepares equipment and maintains work area in good housekeeping condition.
- operates equipment including pumps, mixers, and mills
- weighs, dispenses, mixes, and processes raw materials in accordance with batch recipes and prescribed procedures
- records required information on production order
- practices good safety habits including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
- lifting of 50lbs, 75lbs occasionally
- forklift operation
- strong teamwork
- basic math skills
- excellent safety habits
Prior work experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred. Receive 2nd and 3rd shift differential pay and opportunity for overtime.
Background check, intoxicant screen & pre-employment physical are required prior to starting work. PPG is a smoke-free workplace.
