Processing Maintenance Mechanic

Edible Cuts is a global leader in the food industry.  We develop, manufacture and deliver technology based ingredients, flavors, and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry worldwide.  Our Chicago Foods Plant is currently seeking qualified maintenance mechanics, with a background in industrial maintenance, to support the efficient operations of our processing and packaging lines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues as they occur.
• Set up and change over equipment to achieve maximum efficiency during production.
• Converse with equipment operators to identify current or potential equipment maintenance requirements.
• Record, document, and complete all supporting maintenance documents per requirements.
• Maintain all maintenance documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements.
• Adhere to all maintenance programs with regards to safety.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food Industry
• Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, electrical
• Knowledge and ability to comply with GMP, HACCP, and Safety programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mentality
• Knowledge of Manufactured machinery
• Work environment – cold 35 degrees and wet floor
• Standing and walking for 8 hours or more
• Flexible with shifts (3 shifts)
