On-Site Production Coordinator/Graphic Designer

Objective

Serve as an on-site representative in Chicago, Il, working for a mid-Atlantic based full service graphics communications company. Support the client’s project team, managing the production process of various Event, Marketing, and Promotional materials. Work collaboratively with marketers across multiple brands as well as with company’s project managers and designers, ensuring efficient and accurate communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of current and prospective print & mobile/interactive production jobs with client, including but not limited to:
    • RFQ process – analyze spec sheets for accuracy and identify potential cost savings solutions prior to submitting for estimating
    • Review estimates to ensure consistency with spec sheet
    • Strict adherence to company and client SOP on all awarded projects regarding purchasing, contracting and approval of marketing materials for production
    • Work with production manager to develop production schedule based on client’s needs
    • Identify potential obstacles in production and work to provide solutions to stay on track for timely delivery
    • Coordinate shipment and delivery of materials
    • Review invoices for accuracy and bill client accordingly after production is complete
  • Interact with key marketing, commercial production personnel including project managers and marketing representatives across all brands
  • Act as a liaison between client, designers and internal production managers with your company
  • Provide constant, efficient communication between all parties, ensuring information regarding all projects is accurate
  • Maintain vital and comprehensive database of information containing specific details of all assigned projects
  • Participate in regular production meetings with client’s project managers
  • Attend weekly status calls with agency of record to gather information on upcoming projects and provide updates as necessary
  • Identify operating efficiencies related to your company and the client, as well as new business opportunities with the client
  • Present once a month to client new technology, case studies, production ideas, cost savings solutions, etc. related to company

 Requirements

  • Outstanding organization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years account/client services experiences
  • Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Highly competent in MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Maya
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc. - preferred, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Positive, proactive, and energetic attitude
  • BA/BS at an accredited college or university
  • Printing experience a plus, but not required
