Overview

The Microsoft Cloud Solutions Architect will function in a pre-sales role designing complex solutions for Enterprise customers. The Architect collaborates with sales, post-sales and technical support resources.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Assist account executives with technical guidance on a variety of products to Small business through large enterprise customers.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to customers based on intimate technical knowledge of the customer environment.
  • Solves complex problems which may require unique solutions.
  • Leads problem resolution, identifies appropriate resources, and pro-actively develops contingency plans.
  • Demonstrates wide latitude for decisive action which could impact business initiatives and programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to effectively coordinate and multi-task across various groups and functional teams both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Self-disciplined to implement, drive, and track projects on your own.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the account executive and engineering teams for service opportunities.
  • Attend training to learn and keep up to date on new technology.

 


Qualifications

 

 

 

 

    • Four year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum 3 years' experience designing, implementing and managing the following technologies: Exchange, Active Directory, Azure, Office365
    • Current enterprise-class Infrastructure/System Engineering experience with Microsoft platforms
    • Experience with cloud, hosted and stand-alone solutions
    • Scripting experience (Batch, WMI, VBScript, Powershell).
    • Minimum 2 years' experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Apps, VMware vCloud, Google Cloud Platform strongly desired, but not required.
    • Minimum seven years of Microsoft engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment; or a record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
    • Product certification, engineering credentials, or equivalent technical credentials.
    • Work in a globally deployed team environment
    • Maintain a high level of involvement with current technologies and innovations
    • Ability to travel to Customer sites for project implementations when necessary
    • Manage enterprise level Customers and Customer Requests with a professional and positive attitude
    • VMWare - SRM - Site Recovery Manager decommission
    • Windows Servers - Windows Server 2008R2-2012R2 admin and Azure buildouts
    • Azure - General Azure IaaS and Networking design & management
    • Azure Site Recovery - Azure VMWare to Azure migration, ASR Azure to Azure regional protection
    • Willingness and ability to produce high quality operational documentation, including Visio diagrams, high-level descriptions of the environment, as well as detailed instructions outlining the steps required to repeat the build-out and configuration of the infrastructure.
    • Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
