Logistics Manager for Medical Device Company

High-growth, Chicago-based, orthopedic medical device company looking for full time Logistics Manager for department including shipping, receiving, inventory management and control.  Candidate must have 3-5 years experience in logistics and inventory control.    Individual should be willing to work as part of a team and have an entrepreneurial spirit.  Will communicate with distributor customers daily often in high-stress situations. Must have acute attention to detail and have direct access to management. Candidate should always be working to enhance productivity with technology in shipping and logistics   Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage warehouse with efficiency cleanliness, and organization. Hands-On Management of shipping process and all requirements including management of shipping vendors and agreements and expertise in their related software Providing transitional management and execution for future growth including relocating main office and implementing barcode scanning for inventory Maintain multiple inventories & related government requirements Use of Acctivate software for entire process, produce reports, analyze data Assist in forecasting product and instrument needs Support for marketing events including pulling, packing, shipping items determined for event Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations Skills required for position include: Strong People & Communication Skills Command of Microsoft Office including Outlook ERP Expertise Great Customer Service Skills / Stoic Patience Initiative Valid Drivers License and working vehicle The following would be a PLUS: Acctivate Software experience ERP implementation experience IT skills Website and social media experience Speak French Benefits include company funded healthcare, 401k, and life insurance.
