Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Professional Services organization provides consulting, design, implementation, and management to Verizon's Enterprise, Medium Business, and Government customers. The consultant will be aligned to a particular vertical and responsible for driving the PS revenue assigned to the Verizon Sales VP. The Executive Consulting Partner position is responsible for working with senior IT executives at premier Verizon Business customers as a trusted technical advisor/ partner to:
  • Drive strategic revenue, which includes professional services by working with customers on transformational business activities. Activities should integrate customer's business drivers focused on technical solution sets from VES solution pillars.
  • Review and analyze current Contact Center and Collaboration technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corporate objectives
  • Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives
  • Support development of business drivers, business case and high level program implementation plan
  • Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
  • Consult with customer's business units to gain deeper understanding of business unit requirements and their business value to the organization.
  • Map conceptual design, transition plan, and technology to address business unit requirements.
  • Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executive, customer and drive transformational business activities.
  • Support customer and Verizon cross-functional teams throughout the sales, implementation, and support lifecycles.
  • Partner with cross-functional Professional Services team to develop integrated end-to-end solutions for customer
  • Partner with bid management organization to build out detailed RFP responses and contract development

In the role of the Executive Consulting Partner will be expected to:
  • Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the Client facing Governance Program
  • Lead strategic contact center and communications architectural planning to achieve goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future solutions
  • Collaborate with the appropriate Verizon and client departments to develop and maintain a contact center and communications architectural plan that supports the client agreements
  • Position Verizon Professional Services as a key differentiator to assist in their transformation efforts.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with investments related to the architectural vision
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses with client for architectural spending and initiatives

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years' experience in development and implementation of Contact Center and Network solutions.
  • 5+ years' experience in the following:
    • A customer/client facing technical role (Pre/Post Sales, Sales Engineering, Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Service Delivery, etc.) with a strong knowledge of IP-based network, Unified Communications and Mobility solutions.
    • Consulting for large scale complex, multi-departmental solutions that impact customer's core business values.
    • Architecture -conceptualization, definition and development of IT and or telecom based products and service.
    • Demonstrated and verifiable track record of prior successful customer engagements. Examples of solution designs, statements of work and/or technical project plans are required.
    • Experience in the development and implementation of IT and/or managed telecom solutions with accountability for end to end delivery.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of unified communications and one or more of the following:
    • Data and IP Services (ATM, Frame Relay, VoIP, PIP, VPN, IP PBX)
    • Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Content Delivery, Managed IP PBX)
    • Managed Security Solutions
    • Data Center Outsourcing (application hosting, managed storage)
    • IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services, RTE)

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • MS/MBA level education.
  • TOGAF and/or ITIL certifications
  • Industry certifications in one or more of the following preferred...
    • Cisco
    • Avaya
    • Juniper
    • Genesys, Nice, Nuance, Aspect...
    • IPv6
    • Microsoft, Tandberg, and/or Polycom
  • Experience in sales or service of Fortune 500 companies
  • Successful project delivery in a Fortune 100 company
  • Successful delivery with matrix reports in a cross discipline project
  • "Big 5" consulting experience
  • Ability to influence and have an impact outside of the organization
