Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Natural Resource Technology, Inc. (NRT) is seeking an experienced candidate (1 to 5 years) with a BS/MS in environmental engineering, science, or related discipline to work as an Environmental Engineer or Scientist based out of our Chicago, Illinois office.  The successful candidate will initially engage in field data collection and analysis, remediation oversight, and field documentation.  With experience, the candidate will assume responsibilities for proposals, project planning, and preparation of reports communicating NRT’s observations, evaluations, conclusions, and general project planning.

Position Qualifications:

  • Apply scientific principles and concepts to area of specialization; able to draw solutions from education and formal training.
  • Ability to conduct/direct measurements and sample collection including documentation of field tasks, data tabulation, and report preparation.
  • Former manufacturing gas plant site experience a plus Air monitoring field experience a plus.
  • Ability to participate in field assignments requiring travel throughout the US
  • Critical thinking abilities for field documentation and group participation for development of reports based on evaluation of environmental data and application of regulatory criteria
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and programs is an asset. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/MS engineering (e.g., environmental, civil, geotechnical) or environmental science (e.g., biology, geochemistry, geology, water resources) or related discipline
  • 1 to 5 years experience, environmental consulting experience a plus
  • Illinois and/or Wisconsin regulatory experience a plus
