Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer/Chief Operating Officer and in collaboration with the Executive Team and the Medical Executive Committee, this newl position will create and implement strategy to continuously improve quality of care and physician engagement. The role offers an additional dimension as the Medical Director for Ambulatory Care.

The ACMO stays abreast of developments in clinical practice and works with the Medical Staff to facilitate the continued transition to evidenced based practices. Focus areas include: leading the recruitment and development of provider and provider practices to enhance service offerings, working with partner organizations such as the Norwegian American Hospital PHO, MyCareChicago, BeWell, Greater Humboldt Park Home Health, CCAI and others to improve the care of patients in the community and oversees Medical Staff review functions including physician evaluation (OPPE/FPPE), Peer Review and focused professional practice evaluation. The ACMO acts in the role of CMO in her absence.
