SUMMARY

The Assistant Teacher assists a classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of twelve to fifteen children between the ages of two and five.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher.

Supports in preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.

Helps with general housekeeping tasks.

Supports the teacher in any other appropriate ways.

Maintains professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times.

Treats all children with dignity and respect.

Education and/or Experience

Must be at least 19 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Computer Skills

Basic PC skills with working (proficient or expert) knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current CPR certification required.
