As Section Supervisor-Food Warehouse you will contribute to the success of the Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo by assuring an efficient operation and high-quality guest experience and contribute the Society's revenue and financial sustainability goals.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Warehouse staff in daily order processing for stand deliveries by printing the order requisitions for the day out of the Food Trak system. Prioritize the deliveries in accordance with standard operating procedures and pull and stage produce for delivery to the restaurant locations.
- Assure established warehouse procedures are followed to insure accuracy and efficiency is maintained throughout the execution of all assigned warehouse duties.
- Alert management to operational problems and suggests possible solutions as necessary.
- Assist the purchasing office and restaurant location managers in resolving product discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in special events by providing requested support, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Perform the duties of subordinate seasonal warehouse staff such as pulling and delivering orders as necessary for the efficient operation of the warehouse as requested by management staff.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Specifications
This is a temporary position. You must be at least 18 years of age for this position. The starting wage: $9.75/hr.
The requirements for this position include:
- High School graduate or equivalent combination of training/experience preferred.
- One year previous warehouse experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Six months staff supervision experience preferred.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills with high level of customer service.
- Must be reliable and neat.
- Must be flexible and organized.
- Experience operating a pallet jack and fork lift preferred.
- Basic computer skills required. General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus.
- Experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience. Multi-lingual ability and Spanish fluency a plus.
- Valid driver's license required. New Illinois residents must possess a valid Illinois license within 90 days of hire. Valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents.
- One or more of the following licensures may be required: Valid "C" or "B" (CDL) Driver's License.
- Valid medical authorization card required for positions with commercial motor vehicle driving responsibilities.
- Must be able to work non-standard hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
