As a Banquet Server in Catered Events, you may become part of this world-class catering and culinary team. Your superior serving standards and extraordinary customer service will contribute to creating uniquely memorable guest experiences - whether a picnic at the Pavilions, cocktails with the animals, or a meeting at our premier banquet facility. For each customized event, you will assist the Banquet Captain in operations as designated in the Banquet Event Order for serving style and method, setting up the dining, reception and staging areas, follow safe food handling procedures at all times, and work as a team to clean up and breakdown when the event concludes.

• Follow directions of the captain to achieve department and Society goals.
• Serves food and beverages in the style and method specified by standard operating procedures.
• Assists in setting up the dining, reception and staging areas for scheduled events as designated in the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Organizes bussing station and prepares coffee service, champagne, butter, and bread baskets.
• Follows safe food handling procedures in accordance with established food service sanitation practices.
• Attends role call in complete uniform prior to start of event.
• Stores all dishes, silverware, and glassware in proper area after they are washed.
• Works as a team with other servers and captains to clean up and breakdown all utilized areas.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Specifications
The requirements for this position include:

• High School graduate or equivalent combination of training/experience preferred.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.


• Must be detail oriented, organized and able to maintain a high level of accuracy.


• Outstanding customer service orientation required.


• Ability to maintain customer satisfaction under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Must be able to work with little supervision and complete and follow through on tasks independently.


• Spanish fluency a plus, but not required.
