CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

Scope

The position is responsible for supporting, facilitating and leading functions relating to customer relations. Responsibilities include servicing our customers through oral and written communication using the Telephone, Fax Machine and E-mail as tools. Personal development responsibilities include a thorough understanding of company systems along with a basic understanding of our manufacturing process. Ability to work with the rest of the office staff as part of the team while working interdependently and independently is essential to the success of this position.

 Qualifications/Skill Sets

A minimum of 2 years inside sales or customer service experience

Graduation of High School required college experience a plus

Manufacturing experience and related markets a plus

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required

Proficiency with PC work stations and various software skills required

Ability to manage time and set up priorities within the framework of the company

Must exhibit ability to multitask while working in a professional environment

Work on behalf of customers with a sense of urgency on a daily basis

Exhibit a positive mental attitude on a daily basis

Ability to establish and meet personal and professional goals

 

 Responsibilities

Provide customer maintenance support assisting in the profitability for the sales side of the organization.

Processing customer purchase orders via e-mail, fax, or phone based on scheduled releases

Helping to generate additional orders by establishing long term relationships via written and verbal communiqué with our prospects and customers

Achieve quality performance ratings by identifying and eliminating transactional errors

Take an active role providing management with ongoing constructive feedback for department, process, and procedural improvements

Coordinate through Order Entry production orders, establish and e-mail/fax confirming quotations along with helping to manage release and inventory levels for the customers you service

Be an Advocate on behalf of our customers and a spokesperson for S&D Products as it relates to our performance servicing them

Take the initiative being upfront with our customers when Quality and Service issues arise

Exhibit a Positive Mental Attitude working as part of a team on a daily basis

Participate in Customer Service Meetings making sure your voice is heard looking for ways to improve our service levels and our office environment

Interact with our Manufacturing, Sales, Shipping and Office Staff expediting orders through our system

Attain, retain, and communicate a thorough understanding of the services we offer

Be proactive generating inventory reports for the management teams as it relates to key customers we service

Professionally represent S&D Products in all aspects of communication with our prospects and customers

Participate implementing data in our system on our Annual Inventory day

Be prepared to cross train taking on additional aspects of office administration duties as they are assigned by the management team

Always keep your work stations clean and orderly. All quotations and files directly related to your customers are to be kept in the file systems established an orderly fashion

The common area of the Customer Service area must be free of clutter – work together with the rest of the office staff clean and orderly

Be a team player on a daily basis
