This full-time, salaried position will represent Cabot Creamery Cooperative selling and merchandising Cabot products to customers on assigned sales routes from Chicago, IL to Madison, WI. The individual will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to grow sales, establish and build retail customer relationships, identify and solicit new customers, help increase brand and product knowledge, represent Cabot at trade shows and special events, and cover other regional DSD routes during vacations and holiday weeks. We are willing to train the right individual who is committed, energized and focused, to include sponsorship with obtaining a Class B CDL license. Preferred candidates have food industry experience in a retail / wholesale / distributor environment, a proven sales record, a valid Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and able to pass a required DOT physical. Candidates must be neat and professional in appearance, able to repeatedly lift and move cases weighing 40 lbs. or more, and have good math skills and proficiency with reading, writing and speaking the English language. Overnight travel will be required as the customer base grows and as the territory expands. High School diploma or GED required.
