Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To Assist the Director of Operations and Maintenance Department with providing for the maintenance and operations of efficient, clean, safe, and secure district buildings and grounds; supporting the educational learning environment of District 158 with the highest quality of service, while exercising general supervision of all related personnel, ensuring their duties and responsibilities are performed properly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have experience in the areas of supervision, maintenance of building and grounds operational needs. Ideal applicant will have experience with procurement administration, materials inventor management. Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Experience in managing construction projects, technology related building controls, budgeting and personnel supervision. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Google Office suite, Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Office Suite Word Processing software. Post-Secondary Degree preferred or ten years related experience and/or training including HVAC systems maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification for Certified Plant Maintenance Management from the American Facilities Engineers (AFE) preferred, but not required. Valid current Illinois drivers license.
