Lead Counselor - IOP, FT, Evenings, Hoffman Estates

We Are Hiring

Lead-Counselor-Behav Hlth Lic - Evening IOP Programs - Full-Time,Rotating - AMITA Health ABBHH - Hoffman Estates,IL

Shift: Will be required to work during program hours which are M-Th from 6:30pm-9:30pm. Schedule can be M-Th 10 hour shifts, or a M-F schedule. Must also be available during the day to attend administrative meetings as well as attend to administrative tasks.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in behavioral health services.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
  • Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
  • Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work highly desired.

Work Experience:
  • 1 year of experience required.
  • Previous experience working in acute treatment settings
  • Previous experience training/precepting new employees
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
