Medical Asst-Occ Health - Employee Hlth and Wellness 003 - PRN,Day - ABH - Bolingbrook,IL

General Schedule - M-F - 7:30am to 4pm.

This position will cover several locations including: Hinsdale, Glen Oaks, and LaGrange

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities:
  • Aids with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties including completing the Return to Work authorization checklist and process for associates returning from a leave of absence.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Fulfills basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
  • Diploma
    • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:
  • Previous Occ Health experience preferred
  • Comfortable with blood draws, injections and vaccines
  • Comfortable with lots of computer work
