SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator manages numerous aspects of assigned projects, including assessments, project planning, scheduling, reporting, tracking, issue management, and documentation. Analyzes data and develops recommendations utilizing operational and/or comparative clinical data. Utilizes complex statistical tools to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations, in order to provide decision support for senior management. Provides back-up support for the Senior Executive Assistant for assigned Department and Committee meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides assistance to leadership by identifying performance improvement opportunities, best practices, and targets that are consistent with the strategic and financial goals of the ministry. Conducts analysis of operational, productivity and/or clinical data utilizing comparative benchmarking databases as well as internal reporting and data.
  • Analyzes data, composes, prepares, proofs and edits internal and outgoing correspondence and reports, takes meeting minutes. Distributes a variety of material, such as correspondence, memoranda, reports, charts, statistics, manuals, calendars, minutes, etc.
  • Coordinates and makes necessary notifications and arrangements for appointments.
  • Initiates and tracks workflow, schedules, projects, committee decisions through the department or hospital to ensure paperwork is complete and appropriate, and that follow-up is provided in a timely fashion.
  • Creates materials and handouts and coordinates presentations for meetings including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, graphs and charts.

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Healthcare-related field required. Minimum two years of related experience in a complex healthcare environment required.

    Computer Skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
