SUMMARY

The Receptionist I - SR SVC is the first impression of Presence Health and requires a professional appearance and manner. Communicates in a positive and cooperative manner with visitors, vendors, and staff visiting and/or working at the Presence Health facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handles all incoming telephone calls while maintaining confidentiality and determining the urgency or nature of the calls. Directs the calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Performs typing, scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing of information for office operations.
  • Performs administrative duties such as setting up for meetings, arranging for coffee service and luncheons, contacting the property managers regarding room arrangements, etc., as required.
  • Distributes inter or intra departmental/unit communications and U.S. mail among the office.
  • Greets and receives visitors. Provides assistance or refers individuals to the appropriate source.
  • Maintains inventory and orders office supplies.
  • Collects time of service payments (cash or check) from patients, generates payment receipt and reconciles time of service payments to batch in computer/billing system and handles petty cash, as needed.
  • Schedules patients for appointments and prepares new patient charts as required.

    Education and/or Experience
    High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of office experience required.

    Computer Skills
    Must be proficient in Windows-style applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Typing speed of 45 words per minute required.
