SUMMARY

The Cash Poster is responsible for daily posting of payments, application of adjustments, check deposits, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processes daily lock box contents.
• Follows up with residents, family members, or Nursing Home Administrators questions relating to lost checks.
• Collaborates with billing staff to resolve accounts where money has been misapplied.
• Transfers misapplied payments to appropriate bill numbers or accounts.
• Posts zero payments to appropriate bill numbers or accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare billing.

Computer Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
