SUMMARY

The Customer Service Security Officer performs a variety of duties associated with visitor screening and providing information to employees, patients and visitors entering the facility. Assists Security Officers in maintaining a safe and secure environment by reporting unusual activities and occurrences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets all visitors entering the facility in a professional and welcoming manner.

  • Uses pre-established scripts when answering phone calls and interacting with customers entering and exiting the facility and offers service cards, listing services and telephone numbers when key interactions occur.

  • Performs functions in accordance with generally accepted customer service methods and established security Standards of Performance.

  • Observes and reports suspicious or unusual activities and occurrences to Officer In Charge (O.I.C.) or Supervisor. Requests assistance from security staff as appropriate.


  • 5. Observes and reports the non-conformance of policies and procedures including but not limited to identification badge, fire, disaster, electrical, safety, and infection control policies and procedures

    Education and/or Experience

    High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Previous security experience and/or training in customer service preferred.

    Computer Skills

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Must complete within 90 days of employment: Professional Security Training Network (PSTN) Customer Service course Certification.

    Must complete within 180 days of employment: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification, and National Incident Management System (NIMS) Independent Study (IS) Courses 100 and 200, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certification.
